Unlock first, deepen later
A pet item unlocks its companion. When you already own that pet, another copy becomes a soul. Those souls advance the same pet’s Insight level rather than unlocking a different companion.
Use the right acquisition route
- Quests: some pets, including Fossa, list a quest acquisition category.
- Black Cloud Merchants, chests and achievements: these categories appear across common genera. The individual record identifies the relevant item or achievement.
- Trials and monsters: many common pet records list Ascension Trials and monster soul drops. Check the exact monster and region before farming.
- Shop and Trade Shop: listed sources for several Special pets.
Use the map for monster souls
The first release maps 157 pets across Verteron, Altgard and Chaotic Lower Reshanta. Pick a companion to see its specific monsters. A point records a spawn location; it does not guarantee a drop or establish a drop rate.
For the remaining pets, use their acquisition categories and linked source record. Missing coordinates do not mean a pet is unobtainable.
Keep a checklist
Use the plus button on a pet card to mark it collected. Your collection page shows progress and can export a JSON backup. The checklist is manual and local to your browser; it is not connected to your game account.
Plan the next upgrade
Common pet unlocks grant 500 Genus Insight EXP. Level two and level three each add 250 EXP. When planning one genus, compare a new unlock with upgrading an existing pet and choose the route that fits your available content and resources.
Sources and updates
Pet records, rewards and acquisition categories are linked to Wikily’s pet dataset. Insight costs are checked against the Genus Insight tables. These are community records; confirm details in your regional game client when a patch changes the system.
